One of the unique features of Southside Christian School is our International Student Program (ISP), which allows international students to live with English-speaking, Christian families while attending SCS.
We believe this offers a much better learning environment for our students while providing intentional emotional and social support. Students become more familiar with both the language and culture through their interaction with a homestay family. Ongoing support is provided to homestay families throughout the year.
The program has been established for over fifteen years. In 2020, the program was endorsed by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Southside Christian is the fourth school to receive this accreditation.
The ISP gives qualified international students the opportunity to study at the school and exposes local students to other cultures and perspectives. Overall, the program's goals are to promote cross-cultural learning and a global, Kingdom school culture that encourages students to look beyond themselves to what God is doing around the world.
Our campus is home to a vibrant international community, with students from across the world bringing diverse perspectives and rich cultural experiences. We currently welcome students from China, Brazil, Germany, and Haiti, as well as graduates and other representatives from Eswatini, Austria, Czechia, Spain, Chile, Taiwan, Canada, Vietnam, France, Hungary, India, the Bahamas, South Korea, Ethiopia, and many more.
At our core, we believe that learning is enriched through global connection—and here, the world comes together.
