Academics

Middle School

Middel School (grades 6-8) is designed to be a formative time of transition from elementary to high school. The Christ-centered curriculum paired with the rigorous academic program encourages students to develop integrity, respect, and responsibility. Students attend weekly chapel and small group events that focus on worshipping God, growing in the knowledge of His word, and engaging with peers and teachers through discipleship and service opportunities. The students' talents and interests are cultivated through challenging athletic activities, creative expression within a celebrated Fine Arts program, student clubs, and student leadership roles. The Middle School's commitment, whether focused on academic pursuits, spiritual formation, or extracurricular participation, is ultimately grounded in a desire to develop young men and women who are prepared to impact the world around them for Christ.
School hours are from 8:05 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. Early stay is available at 7:30 a.m.

As of the 2024-2025 school year we have implemented a late start Friday schedule. For more details please view our full school calendar here.

Meet the Middle School Principal

Dr. Bowers was born and raised in the Kansas City area. He graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a Bachelors Degree in Education and went on to receive his Masters in Christian School Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and his Doctorate from Master’s International University. He has served the Lord faithfully in Christian education since 1997 as a teacher, coach, principal, head of school, and pastor.

Dr. Bowers and his wife, Erin, have two daughters, Ashlyn and Adyson. They enjoy spending time together as a family and going to the beach and Disney World. Dr. Bowers enjoys playing golf and tennis, and loves a good bowl of cereal or ice cream.

Dr. Bowers desires to see each student transformed into the image of Christ and therefore, wants to “labor until Christ is formed in you” (Galatians 4:19). He believes that is accomplished as “we proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man mature in Christ” (Colossians 1:28).
